Who We Are
Spiritual Research Network (SRN) is an independent Christian apologetics and discernment ministry dedicated to upholding the truth of God's Word and proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Founded by Chris Lawson, SRN exists to:
- Equip the Church with sound biblical teaching
- Encourage Biblical Discernment in an age of increasing spiritual deception
- Evangelize the Lost by sharing the hope of salvation in Jesus Christ
Based in Cambria, California, a picturesque coastal village near Big Sur, SRN serves as a global outreach. We offer trusted biblical research, education, and resources to help believers stand firm in their faith. Whether online or in person, sharing God's love and forgiveness is our top priority.

How We Fulfill Our Mission
SRN provides a variety of biblical resources and programs to educate and empower believers:
1. Biblical Teaching & Research
- A growing lending library of materials for those seeking sound Bible doctrine and discernment
- Books, booklets, tracts, audio, video, and DVDs on biblical apologetics, discernment, and spiritual deception
- Research articles and online updates addressing false teachings and theological errors
2. Training & Education
- Bible studies, sermons, and lectures designed to strengthen believers in biblical truth
- Counter-cult and counter-occult seminars to equip Christians on how to engage with and evangelize those in deceptive belief systems
- Workshops on identifying spiritual abuse, mystical movements, and the rise of the New Age in Christianity
3. Support for Former Members of False Religious Systems
- Encouragement for individuals transitioning out of cults, occult movements, or spiritually abusive groups
- Resources for overcoming spiritual trauma, including issues of guilt, doubt, family rejection, instability, and post-traumatic stress
4. Missions & Outreach
- Short-term mission projects, as funding allows, reaching communities with the truth of the Gospel
- Evangelistic training programs to help believers share their faith effectively

Standing for Truth in an Age of Deception
The Bible warns that false teachings will continue to grow (2 Timothy 4:3-4). SRN remains steadfast in proclaiming Jesus Christ as the only way of salvation (John 14:6) and encouraging believers to “test the spirits” (1 John 4:1) in all spiritual matters.
